Shopping Spree: July

Yesterday my mom came for a visit and we spent the afternoon doing what we do best: shopping. Because we live in a rural area, the best place to spend the afternoon shopping is the local mall.  It was really great to spend the day with my mom, even if our taste in clothes doesn’t exactly match. I like sticking to neutral colors, classic cuts, and casual fabrics. My mom, on the other hand, loves flashy patterns, bright colors, and funky accessories. She ended up talking me into buying a t-shirt in an Ikat pattern and a bright turquoise necklace, which stand out next to the dark pants and plain t-shirts. After shopping all afternoon we grabbed a few drinks at a local bar to show off our new purchases and enjoy the rest of a beautiful evening.
